Acts 9:31
Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.
Acts 1:15 tells us that the early church started with about 120 people. That’s 120 individuals with different backgrounds, different childhood experiences, and different upbringings in one accord and heart and mind. How did they do this?
The church experienced unity and thrived because they lived wisely with a reverent respect for the Lord and each other. As they served together and saw God at work.
There was dedication to teaching and prayer (Acts 2:42), and a deep relationship with the Spirit were key ingredients for a healthy church and healthy individuals. Sometimes we must lay down certain things so the whole church benefits.
God Bless,
