And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me.
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
“Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again. Acts 20:22-25
Paul had great faith. He followed the Holy Spirits leading into unpredictably challenging circumstances so that people could receive the Good News of God.
Are we prepared for whatever hardships God allows to come our way? Be ready and willing to show God’s love to people when it’s hard? I don’t know what challenges may come our way, but I pray that you and I will take one step closer to being ready and faithfully following His call.
Amen
